Rodrygo Poised for Shock Real Madrid Exit Amid Arsenal Interest

Real Madrid’s Brazilian starlet Rodrygo Goes is reportedly set for a shock exit, with the club open to offers in the region of €100 million. According to Spanish journalist Rodra via RM4 Arab, Los Blancos are prepared to cash in on the 24-year-old forward, who was originally signed for just £39.5 million in 2018.

The report adds that Rodrygo is unhappy with his diminishing role in the squad, especially following the arrival of superstar Kylian Mbappe, which has seen him fall down the attacking hierarchy.

Five Seasons, One Standout Year

Rodrygo has been with Real Madrid for five seasons, scoring 25 Champions League goals along the way. However, he has only managed double digits in both goals and assists once during that span.

In the current La Liga campaign, Rodrygo has netted 6 goals and provided 5 assists in 30 appearances, placing him fourth among Real Madrid’s top scorers this season.

Arsenal Make Enquiry as Arteta Eyes Attacking Striker

According to the same report, Arsenal have enquired about Rodrygo’s availability. Manager Mikel Arteta is said to be eager to add firepower to an attack that has become overly reliant on Bukayo Saka.

Rodrygo’s countryman, Gabriel Martinelli, has put up similar numbers this season, with 7 goals and 4 assists in 30 appearances. Should Rodrygo join the Gunners, he would likely play more centrally or on his preferred left wing, a switch many fans believe could boost his stats and confidence.

While Athletic Bilbao’s Nico Williams remains a strong target for Arsenal, his €58 million release clause must be paid upfront, and the winger is demanding €350,000 per week in wages.

Although Rodrygo’s transfer fee is higher, his potential long-term impact and positional flexibility could make him the more appealing option for Arsenal, especially if Real Madrid allows a structured payment deal.
