Bruno Fernandes With Mega Offer in Hand as Man United Gets Ready for Mass Exodus Following UEFA Europa League Defeat
Manchester United is under a ‘load of troubles’. One glimmer of hope to make the season ‘not a failure’ was to win the Europa League 2024-25 title, but it was rather Tottenham who scripted history, and Ange Postecoglou delivered a title in his second year as promised. Following the devastating 1-0 Europa League final loss to Tottenham Hotspur, Man United is preparing for a mass exodus of players, with Captain Bruno Fernandes the subject of intense interest from Saudi Club Al-Hilal. The reigning RSPL champs have given a deadline of one week to the Portuguese to accept their offer.
Bruno Fernandes in August last year signed a bumper contract extension that would keep him at the club till 2027 but following the loss to Tottenham this week in the European League final, the Portugues captain revealed he is committed to the club while also admitting he could leave if Manchester United decides to ‘cash in’ on him:
“If the club thinks it’s time to part ways because they want to do some cash in or whatever, it’s what it is, and football sometimes is like this.”
BIG Changes at Man United?
Manchester United, according to reports, are wary of falling susceptible to PSR regulations ahead of next season and will be willing to sell important players like Fernandes and Kobbie Maino as the club approaches a very important summer transfer window.
According to the Daily Mail, Saudi Pro League Outfit, Al-Hilal are optimistic about the purchase of Bruno Fernandes after offering a basic salary of 700 thousand pounds a week excluding bonuses and are also prepared to pay as much as 100 thousand pounds to Manchester United whose co-owner, Sir Jim Ratcliff has once again sanctioned another round of redundancy at the club few months after a similar move.

Another player most likely to depart the club is winger Alejandro Garnacho, who voiced his displeasure at the lack of minutes in the Europa League final, playing just 20 minutes in the defeat to Spurs:
“Up until the final I played every round helping the team, and today I play 20 minutes, I don’t know,” said Garnacho.
“The final will influence [my decision] but the whole season, the situation of the club. I’m going to try to enjoy the summer and see what happens afterwards.”
Chelsea and Napoli were intensely linked with the Argentine during the January transfer window, and it is believed a fee of 50 million pounds would be enough for a player who has not enjoyed his time under Ruben Amorim and has made his feelings public about it.
