FIFA Club World Cup 2025 Round of 16 Qualified Teams and Predictions
The group stage of the FIFA Club World Cup is gradually ending with teams bidding farewell to the competition while others progress to the Round of 16. 12 European teams are present at the club world cup, 6 teams from South America while Asia and Africa account for 4 representatives each, Auckland City FC are the sole representatives from the Oceania region.

FIFA Club World Cup 2025 Eliminated Teams
9 teams have been eliminated from the 2025 Club World Cup even though most group stage matches are yet to be completed. Urawa Reds from Japan and Ulsan Hyundai from Korea are the Asian representatives knocked out from groups F and E with no wins recorded. CONCACAF representatives Los Angeles FC and Seattle Sounders also bid farewell to the competition finishing with no points recorded on the board.
Auckland City FC, United Arab Emirates side Al Ain and Pachuca join the eliminated sides from New Zealand and Mexico with no wins each, and Auckland particularly conceding 16 goals in 2 matches.
African representatives have 2 eliminated Teams in Wydad Casablanca of Morocco and Al Ahly of Egypt. Al Ahly bid farewell after picking 2 points from 3 matches failing to beat Porto, playing out a thrilling 4-4 draw in their final group A match to stand any chance of qualifying.
Wydad Casablanca were eliminated after the second round of matches from group G losing 2-0 to Manchester City and 4-1 to Juventus. Atletico Madrid became the first European side to be bundled out of the Club World Cup Despite picking up a 1-0 win over Copa Libertadores champion Botafogo, they finished level on points with League winners PSG and Botafogo (6) but an inferior goal difference of -1 compared to Botafogo (+1) and PSG(+5) has knocked out debutants Atletico Madrid.

FIFA Club World Cup 2025 Round of 16 Qualified teams
Eight Clubs have now qualified for the Round of 16 of the Club World Cup with Europe dominating with 4 representatives, Manchester City, Juventus, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain, debutant Inter Miami from CONCACAF while Brazilian outfits Botafogo, Palmeiras and Flamengo complete the remaining 3 from the South American continent.
Round of 16 Pairing
Inter Miami finished second in group A and will face group B winners PSG in the round of 16 on 29th June at the Mercedes Benz Stadium as Lionel Messi prepares to face his former French employers and tournament favourites for a place in the quarter final.
Brazilian giants Palmeiras finished as group A as leaders ahead of Inter Miami and will face fellow Brazilian side Botafogo for a place in the quarterfinal on the 28th of June at the Lincoln Financial Field.
From group G, Manchester City and Juventus have secured passage to the Round of 16 picking up maximum 6 points from 2 matches at the expense of Wydad and Al Ain, depending on how the final group standing ends, their Round of 16 opponents will come from H where Real Madrid(4)and Salzburg Fc(4) occupy first and second. Al Hilal with 2 points could yet qualify as a win over Pachuca with either a win for Real Madrid or Salzburg would see them go through.
In Group C, Bayern Munich have qualified in impressive fashion scoring 12 goals, conceding just 1 and amassing 6 points, Benfica could join them as a draw would take them to 5 points. A draw guarantees Bayern top spot with a potential clash with Chelsea in the round of 16. Flamengo are currently top in group D. A draw in the final game against already eliminated Los Angeles automatically ensures leadership of the group which would mean a potential match-up with Benfica (provided they do not lose to Bayern Munich) in the round of 16.
The round of 16 matches will commence on the 28th of June with Palmeiras and Botafogo clashing and come to an end on the 2nd of July while quarter-final fixtures commence on the 5th of July
