Shai Gilgeous-Alexander won regular season MVP, Conference finals MVP and finals MVP, highlighting his dominance in the league during the NBA 2024-25 season. The Conference Finals MVP award started in 2022, and each conference’s top performers in the postseason were awarded the prestigious title.
From the East, Jayson Tatum (2022), Jimmy Butler (2023), Jaylen Brown (2024) and Pascal Siakam (2025) won the award, while Stephen Curry (2022), Nikola Jokic (2023), Luka Doncic (2024) and SGA (2025) won the awards. Nikola Jokic came close to claiming all here awards in the 2022-23 season, leading the Denver Nuggets side to the NBA Championship, but he finished (close) second in the regular season MVP race, making SGA the first player to claim ‘the MVP Clean sweep’. SGA also won the scoring title, which takes his individual accolades to 4 in just the 2024-25 season.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander With Commanding 2024-25 NBA Season
SGA did have a great season with Nikola Jokic once again contesting for the regular season MVP award. Although this was the first time the OKC star was in the discussion for the MVP award, his consistency earned him the accolade. The guard had a breakout season that saw him win his first scoring title and guide the Oklahoma City Thunder to a league-best 68-14 record (franchise record too), all while setting career highs in points, assists and blocks per game.
In the finals, Shai averaged 30 points, 5.4 rebounds, 6.4 Assists, 1.7 steals and nearly a block per game. In the regular season, SGA’s stats were even impressive with 32.7 points, 5 rebounds, 6.4 assists, 1.7 steals and a block average. With the young team proving themselves on the biggest stage, OKC is now seen as a legit championship contender for years to come, and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is at the center of this turnaround.
