Mad-Ring Video Stimulation Released, Check Details of F1’s New Upcoming Track for Spanish GP
The Spanish GP will once again have a new track from the 2026 season. Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya held the races from 1991 and the 2025 season will be its final race, scheduled on June 1. From the 2026 season, the races will be held in Madrid. As per the agreement, the capital will host the event till 2035. The all-new circuit to the Spanish capital incorporates both street and non-street sections.
Recently, the promoters of the 2026 Spanish Grand Prix have revealed the first official video simulation of the track, which will host the race. The simulation highlights what fans and teams can expect from the new track. While the track is 5.4km in length, it can be distinctly differentiated into two parts – 4.1km running along the IFEMA grounds and the 1.3 km lap running along public roads.
Several sections of the circuit also catch the attention. The 22-turn track will have a lengthy straight drive, allowing the racers to reach the 300 km/hr mark easily. Turn 5-6 chicane and a 24-degree banked corner that runs for 500 meters are a few challenges cited in the simulation video.
Turn 10 of the track – ‘Valdebebas’ corner will be steeply banked and could be a major challenge for the racers. It is interesting to check that the current pit lane design joins the track after the turn one-two chicane. This is a replica of Jeddah, allowing teams to incorporate multi-pitstop strategies.
