Paige Bueckers Already Matching Caitlin Clark’s Records in WNBA as Dallas Wings Star Continues to Shine in Games
Paige Bueckers vs Caitlin Clark has been the topic of discussion right from the WNBA 2025 draft, with both stars playing at the highest level behind their exceptional skills and looking to turn the bottom-placed teams into title contention. Clark broke multiple records (64 to be exact) in her rookie season, capturing the Rookie of the Year accolade. A similar outcome was expected from Paige Bueckers when the Dallas Wings selected her as the top overall pick.
The former UConn star lived up to the billing and delivered yet another jaw-dropping performance, this time against the Mercury. Bueckers came out on fire after missing the last four games and she was spot on with 13-of-19 from the field, 5-of-7 from behind the arc. Scoring 35 points with 5+ three-pointers, PB matches CC’s record set in a season ago.
Sadly, the Phoenix Mercury managed to steal the game with a 94-84 win, putting the Wings at the bottom with a 1-10 record. Yet, fans are thrilled with Paige’s show and are already comparing her season with Caitlin’s season with the Fever.

Will Paige Bueckers Surpass Caitlin Clark’s Rookie Season Stats?
Caitlin Clark’s 2024 season has been incredible, with the star breaking 64 different records in the WNBA. While it seemed like a once-in-a-hundred-years achievement, Paige Bueckers is a worthy challenger for a similar feat. Setting her new career high of 35, PB had a small advantage over Caitlin Clark. CC took 39 games to score 35 points, while Paige did so in just seven games.
Similarly, Bueckers became the fourth-fastest rookie in WNBA history to record at least 100 points, 25 rebounds, and 25 assists. The only players to achieve the milestone faster were Caitlin Clark, Candace Parker, and Cynthia Cooper.
Moreover, matching Clark’s 35-point and 5+ three-pointers record, PB is set for another record Caitlin holds – fastest player with 100+ points and 50+ assists. Clark reached the milestone in her first eight games, and now, on Friday night, Paige Bueckers will need four more assists to reach similar numbers.
Interestingly, Caitlin Clark also struggled early in the season and dominated the second half, pushing the Indiana Fever to the playoffs. Page Bueckers will also look to power the Dallas Wings to the postseason.
