Ja Morant Goes Full Savage with Machine Gun Celebration During Grizzlies vs. Timberwolves Game

Ja Morant clearly isn’t done poking the bear — or in this case, the NBA.

After getting hit with a $75,000 fine earlier this week for his “finger gun” celebrations, the Grizzlies star point guard didn’t back down. Instead, he doubled down. First, it was a grenade throw celebration after a deep three against Miami. And just when people thought he might chill — boom — machine gun celebration on Thursday night.

Earlier, Morant opened up on being fined and stated that he “wasn’t surprised”.

“You really want to know?” he said. “I wasn’t surprised. Just was showing people what’s pretty much been evident for the last two years.”

That’s clearly a reference to how the NBA has kept a close eye on him. Morant has already served suspensions in the past for flashing guns on Instagram Live — not once, but twice.

While Morant had a good night, finishing with 36 points, he couldn’t led his side to a win.

Anthony Edwards scored 44 points, including 18 during Minnesota’s franchise-record, 52-point third quarter to keep the Timberwolves alive in Playoff race.

For Grizzlies, Desmond Bane added 28 points, and Jaren Jackson Jr. chipped in with 23, but even with all that firepower, the team fell 141-125. Their three-game win streak ended, but the drama definitely didn’t.

Now, the Grizzlies are heading to Denver to take on the Nuggets on Friday night. And with Ja in full “I don’t care” mode, all eyes will be on what celebration he pulls out next.
