He immediately collapsed in visible pain, prompting immediate attention from medical staff. After being fitted with an air cast, Cabrera was transported off the field in an ambulance for further evaluation.
Yankees manager Aaron Boone expressed deep concern postgame, stating, “Just praying for our guy Cabby tonight and hoping for the best.” The injury cast a somber mood over the team’s otherwise strong performance.
Cabrera, 26, has been a versatile asset for the Yankees since his MLB debut in August 2022. In the 2025 season, he has maintained a .243 batting average with one home run and 11 RBIs over 33 games.
