2025 NBA Draft Order Finalized With Tiebreaker Results Ahead of Lottery
The NBA has broken five ties between teams with identical records to finalize the draft order for the 2025 NBA Draft. These tiebreakers help determine which teams will pick earlier in the upcoming draft.
The random drawings were held at the NBA office in Secaucus, New Jersey, and overseen by the accounting firm Ernst & Young.
This process was necessary to set the full draft order, particularly for teams that had the same win-loss record at the end of the 2024–25 regular season.

Here are the outcomes of the random drawings:
- Phoenix Suns (36-46) beat the Portland Trail Blazers.
- Dallas Mavericks (39-43) edged out the Chicago Bulls.
- Sacramento Kings (40-42) topped the Atlanta Hawks.
- Memphis Grizzlies (48-34) won over Golden State Warriors and Milwaukee Bucks. Milwaukee placed second, Golden State third.
