Westbrook signed with the Nuggets in the 2024-25 season, hoping to win his first NBA title. With Nikola Jokić and Jamal Murray on the team, Westbrook believed the Nuggets had it all to come up big. HE tried multiple super-teams, with Durant at OKC, James Harden at Rockets, LeBron James at Lakers, Paul George- Kawhi at Clippers and with Bradley Beal at the Wizards, but every time he fell short of the title shot, making it to the finals in his early days with the OKC in 2012.

Sadly, Russ himself didn’t come up big, exiting in the Western Conference semis after an 89-125 loss to OKC. Although he had flashes of his young self on a few occasions, the limited impact didn’t help the 2023 champs to close out the series. Westbrook in the Western semis had 34.8% FG% and shot 21.9% from the 3-point line. Now, he has the option to make, and fans will be hoping to get the answer in the coming days.
