Warriors vs Rockets: Will Jimmy Butler Play Tonight? Latest Update on Golden State’s Star Forward

Jimmy Butler

It was a heroic performance – free throws followed by a defensive rebound and closing out the game with decisive buckets. It was Jimmy Butler’s performance back from injury. Not really 100% back, but close enough to play a game. And being Butler III, he was effective enough and a match-winner for the Warriors. The next game? It was not as efficient and effective.

Although Butler’s availability for Game 4 was questionable, his game lit up the Bay Area. When asked what motivated him to pull up his socks in the game, Butler had a suitable answer.

Ah man, somebody said something to me. That’s all it takes, somebody to say something to me gets me going every single time… I thought it was winning time.”

Just recall the ‘laugh’ Butler and Dillon Brooks shared during game 4. Yeah, you got the hint and factor.
Not only Jimmy, but the whole Warriors’ team failed to break shackles in game 5 of the series, handing the Rockets a lifeline in the series. But now the game is again at the Chase Center, home of the Warriors, and a chance to seal the series with a win. Will Jimmy Butler play in the game?

Will Jimmy Butler Play in Game 6?

As per the injury report, Jimmy Butler is registered clear to play for the match. The star showed great will and worked hard to get back on the court as early as possible. But that doesn’t mean that he is 100% fit for the game. During the post-game interview after game 5, the 35-year-old forward said,

“It’s getting better. It’s getting there. You know another day and some change of recovery and rest.”

The Timberwolves have already progressed from the bracket and will be ready for either opposition. Butler and co will hope to stay healthy for the conference semis. Steve Kerr is expected to play an impactful player and may utilise him for the vital juncture in the game.
