Where to Watch 2025 NBA Draft? Check Out NBA Draft Time, Venue, Viewing Options
It’s NBA Draft Time, an annual event where NBA teams select eligible players—primarily top college athletes and international prospects—to join the league. Founded in 1947, it’s now a two-round, 59-player affair (a second-round pick was lost due to penalties). This year, the draft takes place over two nights: June 25 (Round 1) and June 26 (Round 2).
While the NBA Draft is seen as a mega event, it allows teams to select young talent from the available pool to strengthen their squads and invest in the future. This year continues the two-night format, introduced in 2024, which allows more time for interviews and player coverage. It also ensures prime-time slots for Round 2 after midday viewership for the first round didn’t perform as well.
