2025-26 Premier League Schedule Revealed: Man United vs Arsenal Headlines Opening Weekend as Champions Liverpool Kick-Off Against Bournemouth

After the entertaining season that saw Liverpool crowned the champions for the record 20th time, the 2025-26 Premier League schedule is out. As confirmed by the league, the schedule was declared on Wednesday, June 18. The exciting Premier League 2025-26 season will start from August 15 with Liverpool taking on AFC Bournemouth. The opening weekend will also have a mega match between Manchester United and Arsenal on August 17.

Former Champions Manchester City will take on Wolverhampton Wanderers on August 16, while Chelsea will play against city rivals Crystal Palace on August 17. Both sides are currently playing in the FIFA Club World Cup and will have their preseason tours cut short due to the Premier League 2025-26 season approaching.

As per the released EPL schedule, kick-off times of weekend and Bank Holiday matches are 15:00 UK time, while for midweek matches it is 19:45 unless otherwise stated. While some unforeseen circumstances will change the schedule, as confirmed by the league.

Teams and Schedule for the Premier League 2025-26 Season

In 2024-25 season, Liverpool won the title with a comfortable lead over second-placed Arsenal. Manchester City and Chelsea finished third and fourth, respectively. Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur struggled, finishing 15th and 17th in the league. Tottenham, though, advanced to the Champions Leagu,e winning the Europa Cup.

Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester City, and Chelsea have already qualified for the Champions League. Other Premier League sides, Aston Villa and Crystal Palace, will play in the Europa League qualifiers, while Nottingham Forest will represent the league in UEFA Conference League qualifiers.

Leicester City, Ipswich Town, and Southampton were relegated, with Burnley, Leeds United and Sunderland taking their place in the Premier League 2025-26 season. Other teams that will play in the Premier League 2025-26 season are Newcastle United, Fulham, West Ham, Brighton, Bournemouth, Everton, Brentford, Crystal Palace and Wolves.
