Erling Haaland Heaps High Praise on Barca’s Young Sensation After First-Half Heroics in Barcelona-Inter clash

Manchester City FC v Ipswich Town FC - Premier League

In a thrilling Champions League clash between Barcelona and Inter Milan, it was 17-year-old Lamine Yamal who stole the spotlight, and even Erling Haaland couldn’t help but take notice.

The match began with Inter Milan racing to a 2-0 lead, thanks to clinical strikes from Marcus Thuram and Denzel Dumfries. For a moment, it looked like Barcelona might crumble under pressure. But the Catalans, who have been completing remontada every week, produced yet another comeback, and at the heart of their comeback was their teenage sensation, Lamine Yamal.

Lamine Yamal sparked Barcelona’s comeback with a stunning solo goal that left the Inter defenders frozen. Picking up the ball on the right wing, the 17-year-old cut inside, sent Di Marco the wrong way with a sharp feint, and curled a beautiful shot past Yann Sommer into the far corner.

Minutes later, he nearly repeated the magic, twisting past defenders and launching another fierce shot that clipped the crossbar. It was Ferran Torres who eventually brought Barca level, capitalizing on the momentum Yamal had created.

Yamal Shakes Off Injury Scare to Make 100th Barca Appearance

There was a moment of panic just before kickoff when Lamine Yamal slipped during the pre-match warm-up and left the field early, clutching what looked like a groin or thigh issue. With just minutes to go before kickoff, fans feared the 17-year-old might not start. But the wonderkid did line up for his 100th appearance for Barcelona, an incredible milestone reached two and a half months before his 18th birthday.
