Ruben Amorim Makes Up For Manchester United Front Office Blunder ahead of Europa League Final Against Tottenham Hotspur

Manchester United Manager Ruben Amorim

Ruben Amorim’s Manchester United has no league wins in 2 months and against the 16 non-relegated teams in the Premier League. They have picked 23 points from a possible 87, yet he is heading for Legend status at the club as reports from ESPN indicate the former Sporting Lisbon boss has decided to pay for 30 of his backroom staff to take their families to next week’s Europa League final in Bilbao.

15 thousand tickets were made available to both Manchester United and Tottenham for the Europa League final, and while their opponent in the mega fixture, Tottenham Hotspur, offered complimentary tickets to the staff of the club. Co-owner of Manchester United, Sir Jim Ratcliffe, decided against giving free tickets, which put him in a bad light. But maybe Amorim’s gesture might soften the blow.

The reports say coaches and support staff who travel with United, including kit men, have not been given complimentary tickets for family and friends for the clash on May 21. United’s coaches, physios and support team had been invited to pay for their tickets for the final on May 21, but ESPN reports Amorim has stepped in to cover the cost. The Portuguese told United chiefs that he would pay after learning the price of the tickets would come out of their own pockets.

PSG and Inter Milan Show ‘Big Heart’ – Unlike Manchester United

The ‘cost-cut’ has been a buzzword at the Manchester United facilities right now. Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s move to cut costs at Manchester United has seen over 200 people lose their jobs, while the Christmas celebration was cancelled last year. It was also revealed that the club will not be hosting its annual Dinner reception at the end of the season, and this latest Ticket move has further infuriated employees of the club, who accused the British Owner of prioritising supporters over Employees. Other big clubs’ actions are making the job difficult for the United supremo, who is trying to be tough on the decisions.

UEFA Champions League finalist, Paris Saint-Germain, has confirmed that they will cover the expenses for 600 staff members to attend their UEFA Champions League final against Inter Milan. The Italian giants are also not left behind, as the Nerazzurri will be giving tickets to all club staff. As reported by FCInterNews, Inter Milan will pay the squad €10 million in bonuses if they are to beat PSG in the Champions League final. Maybe this could encourage Man United to take some steps to uplift the morale of players and staff.
