Napheesa Collier Injury Update: How long Is Minnesota Lynx’s Superstar Expected To Be Sidelined?
Caitlin Clark missed her first competitive game since high school following a left quadriceps strain before the Indiana Fever game against the Washington Mystics. Now another franchise player is on injury list with Napheesa Collier mentioned ‘questionable’ for the Minnesota Lynx’s upcoming game against Phoenix Mercury.
As per reports from USA Today, Napheesa Collier is facing left knee issue. Collier had commanding start to 2025 WNBA season with a 5-0 run in opening games. The Lynx side is at the top of WNBA standings behind Collier’s 28.8 points, 7.8 rebounds, 3.2 steals, and 1 block per game average in those five wins. She is also seen as the MVP favorite for the ongoing season.
With the “questionable” status, Collier could still play in the game, but considering the start of the season, the Lynx would look to safeguard their star player. As of now, the official injury list has not included her, leaving her status uncertain.
Napheesa Collier Looking to Clinch ‘Missed’ Title in 2025
The 2024 WNBA Championship was decided in overtime, a close game that highlighted the competitive nature of the league. The Minnesota Lynx were close to their fifth title record in the WNBA, yet officials’ decisions went against them, denying them the feat. In 2025, though, the Minnesota Lynx, led by Napheesa Collier, are taking control of the league with stunning performances.
Return of McBride provided the side a major boost at both ends of the floor while Courtney Wiliams and Jessica Shephard are also providing much-needed support to the Lynx’s push for the title. The 2024 WNBA finalists are one of the title favorites for the season, along with Napheesa Collier in the MVP discussions.
Collier had already made solid returns from multiple injuries in the past, like recently in March 2025, despite injury to her left ankle while playing in the Unrivalled league, the forward claimed the league’s inaugural MVP award. Yet, the Lynx will be looking to keep checks on their franchise player as injury to Napheesa, if escalated, might slow down the team’s progress in the league.
